Policy Provisions
1. Graduate Faculty Policies

Cumberland University graduate Faculty are subject to and benefit from many of the same policies outlined in this Handbook. The graduate faculty specific guidelines below may be exceptions to the other Handbook policies and take precedence for graduate faculty.

For graduate faculty members who teach at least one graduate course, 9 semester hours shall be considered a normal full teaching load. If a graduate faculty member is not teaching a graduate course during a semester, guidelines for full-time faculty outlined in this Handbook should be followed. A summer session course load of six credit hours is considered a full teaching load.
