AHI 399 SpTop:Ital Renaiss Art w/StAbr

This special topics study abroad course will explore in depth one or more Italian Renaissance topics. Students will develop skills in visual analysis, the analysis and interpretation of scholarly texts, research practices, and oral presentation. Focus will be placed on learning to compare arguments made in secondary scholarship with first-hand analysis of visual objects. Some classroom meetings and research may be required prior to and/or after the travel period. Prerequisites: AHI 208 and permission of instructor. Preference will be given to students who have completed and earned a B or higher in at least one prior art history course.
