AHI 208 Intro to Art History

This one semester survey introduces major movements, monuments, and artists from the prehistoric era through the 21st century. Students will gain visual literacy by learning to analyze and interpret visual objects relative to their stylistic, technical, historical and cultural contexts. This course includes one required Saturday trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art; transportation will be covered by course fee. Prerequisite: ENG 104 or 105 or permission of the instructor. (L05)
