1. Changing Counselors
What happens:
When the CUCC has more than one counselor/intern, clients have the right to request a change in therapist. Clients who make this request will be encouraged to talk with the original counselor to clarify any confusion and provide feedback prior to meeting with a different counselor. If multiple change requests have been made, underlying clinical issues need to be addressed, and an outside referral considered. In all such cases, consultation between the counselors involved and/or with the Director is needed prior to client transfer.
