PSY 325 Industrial Gerontology

This course will focus on aging in the workplace. As the population steadily ages, the workplace will be impacted by the number of older adults as well as the working needs of an aging population. Therefore, this course will cover traditional industrial organizational topics that impact the lives of older adults, such as retirement, social security, bridge employment, volunteering, work place engagement and seniortiy, physical changes that impact the older worker, and the theories that surround the interaction between older workers and their place of employment. Prerequisite: successful completion of PSY 101, PSY 110 or PSY 111 with a C or better. Offered as needed.
