CJS 422 Mapping & Analyzing Crime

This course explores the concepts, theory and practice of crime analysis using both conventional statistical and spatial analytic techniques in the context of specific criminal justice related examples. With a heavy emphasis on lab work, students will learn to create a range of basic analytic products that involve crime mapping using GIS. A final project analyzing a specific crime problem will complete the course. Spring
