Policy Provisions

The following Greek Awards are presented annually:

New Member of the Year: This award will be presented to an outstanding fraternity new member and an outstanding sorority new member each year. Nominated a new member who has made significant contribution to your individual organization, the Greek Community, or the Cumberland Community.

Living Your Ritual Award: This award will be presented to an outstanding fraternity/sorority member who is nominated for being the best example of each organization’s rituals and values. This award can be given to up to one member from each organization based on nomination.

Chapter Leader of the Year: This award will be presented to an outstanding fraternity/sorority leader each year. This can be any member who has shown exceptional leadership for their organization.

Pleasant Henry Meadows III Award: Given annually to a male or female Greek leader who not only excels in their Greek organization duties, but also as a model to Cumberland university students in the classroom and other activities.

Charles Monty Pope Phoenix Rising Award: Named after long-time Cumberland and Greek-Affiliated professor Charles Monty Pope, annually recognizes the chapter that has overcome obstacles within the past year and has shown improvements in area of chapter development

  •   Presidents Cup: Given annually to the Greek organization who has determined outstanding in academic, recruitment, and community service and whose members set the standard for all    Greek Affiliated students
