PSY 295 Research Methods/Statistics I

An introduction to psychological research strategies and statistical applications. Topics covered include searching the literature, measurement, validity, developing and writing hypotheses, descriptive studies, correlational design, experimental design, sampling, research ethics, descriptive statistics, and correlation coefficients. Students will design a novel, empirical study. Prerequisites: successful completion of PSY 101, PSY 110, or PSY 111with a C or better. Students must achieve an appropriate score on the Mathematics Placement exam. Fall, Spring
