IEC 490 Transit & Capstone Portfolio

Teacher candidates prepare their transitional and capstone professional portfolio as guided by the instructor. This 2-step evaluation process takes place at the start and end of the final student teaching semester. Faculty will evaluate materials presented by students such as exemplary lessons, instructional plans, assessment strategies, behavioral techniques, children's works (used with permission), and documentation of professionalism and collaboration. Emphasis is on the teacher candidate's ability to reflect in depth on past and current performance and the implications for future performance. Open only to candidates who are enrolled in SED 494. Co-requisite: SED 494 and SED 495. Spring
