ENG 313 Writing Fiction

A course in the writing of short fiction, with specialized assignments including, but not limited to, in-class workshops and critiques of students? writing, reading of professional fiction writers, attendance at fiction readings, and the study and discussion of theories of fiction. Knowledge of the genre and previous college-level creative writing experience required. Fulfills writing-intensive requirement. Prerequisites: ENG 105 and 200-level English writing course, or consent of the instructor based on a writing sample.
