PSY 254 Developmental Psychology: Adults and Aging

This course provides an empirical study of the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional aspects of adult life through old age. Emphasis is on the developmental milestones and tasks typically experienced in modern life. Topics include identity development, commitment and relationships, singlehood, parenthood, loss of a life partner through separation or divorce or death, work and career, mid-life transitions and crises, physical changes and health, menopause, infidelity, sexuality, retirement, and patterns of aging. Prerequisite: successful completion of PSY 110 or PSY 111 with a C or better. Fall
