PSY 295 Research Methods and Statistics I

An introduction to psychological research strategies and statistical applications. Topics to be covered include an overview of the most commonly used descriptive and basic inferential statistics that are used in psychological research, basic research design and an introduction to using SPSS for analyzing and understanding data. Prerequisites: successful completion of PSY 110 with a C or better. Students must achieve an appropriate score on the Mathematics Placement exam.
