BUS 348 Management: A Skills Based Approach

This course is designed to introduce students to the wide, complex, and sometimes confusing practice of managing people. Management is half practice and half art, and requires practitioners to build atoolboxof approaches that are based upon a portfolio of experiences. This course takes ahands-onapproach, introducing the practice of management skills and techniques through cases, role-plays, and simulations that are designed to provide students with both skills and experiences in the management of people. Theory discussion will be an emergent outcome of casework and reflection. Prerequisite: BUS 246.
