1. Reservable Rooms

1.1 Clement Room

The Clement Room is available for use by Cumberland University faculty, staff and students. To request a time to reserve this room, contact the Reference Desk at 615-547-1299 or via email at libraryfrontdesk@cumberland.edu. You may also use the form that is available on this page.

This room has seating for up to 16 people. It is available for study groups (2 or more people) when it is not used for University meetings:

•1 conference table with 12 chairs
•4 extra chairs
•Podium
•Small whiteboard

1.2 Lawlor Room

The Lawlor Room is available for use by Cumberland University faculty, staff and students. To request a time to reserve this room, contact the Reference Desk at 615-547-1299 or via email at libraryfrontdesk@cumberland.edu. You may also use the form available on this page.

This room has seating for up to 23 people. It is available for study groups (2 or more people) when it is not used for University meetings:

•2 conference tables with 10 chairs per table
•3 extra chairs
•1 small table
•Podium
•Small whiteboard
•Small TV with Region 2 DVD player


2. Non-Reservable Rooms

2.1 A-V Room

The A-V Room contains equipment for listening and viewing audio-visual materials. It can be used for group study on a first come, first serve basis, but must be available to those needing use of the equipment.

•Cubicles for listening and viewing equipment
•1 table with seating for 4-6 people
•Scantron machine

2.2 Special Collections

The Special Collections Room contains the Children's Literature Collection. It can be used for group study on a first come, first serve basis, but must be available to those needing to use the materials.

•Seating for 7 people
•1 round table with 4 chairs

2.3 Gilreath Curriculum Lab

The Curriculum Lab contains curriculum materials. It can be used for group study on a first come, first serve basis, but must be available to those needing to use the materials.

•Seating for up to 18 people
•1 square table (4 smaller tables put together) with 8 chairs
•2 individual desks
•6 rocking chairs (2 adult size, 4 child size)

2.4 Online Classroom

The Online Classroom is primarily used to provide students and faculty with interactive library instruction. It can be used for group study on a first come, first serve basis, but must be available to those needing to use the materials. See the Online Classroom Policy.

•10 tables with 2 seats per table
•1 computer terminal per table
•Podium
•2 large whiteboards
•Computer projection capabilities
