ECO 365 Money and Banking

This course focuses on the principles of money, financial markets, and central banking with a theoretical emphasis on monetarist and post-Keynesian explanation for money and its role in stabilizing the economy. We will critically examine the relationship between money market instruments and Federal Reserve policies within the context of monetary theory proposed by competing schools of economic thought. Prerequisite:  ECO 205 (formerly ECO 105).
