CSC 344 Computer Networks

This course serves as an introduction to computer networks and data communications in the modern world. Both theoretical and applied technologies will be discussed. Emphasis will be placed on mastering the TCP/IP protocol suite. Additional topics include: a discussion of centralized, decentralized, and distributed systems; a comparison of asynchronous and synchronous communications networks; hardware and software components, the Internet and network security.
