BIO 190 Prin of Biology 1

A course designed to complement BIO 191 for science majors. Students will:(1) gain an understanding of the fundamental concepts in various areas of biology enabling you to pursue further study in related areas in upper-level biology courses; (2) be introduced to the research techniques of biologists; (3) be introduced to the scientific literature of biology; (4) discuss topics and ideas related to biology and to explore at least one issue of choice in the area of biology, in depth, from the perspective of how it affects society; (5) gain experience in the presentation of scientific ideas in an informal setting.
