TEC 122 Building Construction

In this course, emphasis is placed on the study of light wood-frame construction. Floor, wall and roof framing, building layout, foundation systems, exterior and interior finishes, door and window standards, with some considerations given to applicable codes and building department regulations. This course integrates hands-on, practical applications with theoretical-based knowledge by constructing a full-scale project in the shop to help develop an understanding of the designed world.
