SOC 253 Childhood & Society

This course will examine the status and role of children in contemporary society with an emphasis on historical and cross-cultural comparisons. Topics will include socialization, children and families, children and the state, children and poverty, children's peer culture, and children as social problems. Fulfills diversity requirement.
