CRJ 211 Introduction to Law Enforcement

This course is designed to introduce students to the history, philosophy, and practices of American Law Enforcement, including the development and objectives of the American Police System with an emphasis on organization of local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. This course will also survey career opportunities and qualifications required for entry level positions. Any student who has graduated from a POST (Police Officer Standards and Training) approved law enforcement academy may receive six hours of credit towards graduation.
