Course Waiver

In rare cases a course waiver may be approved. If a course is waived the student does not have to take the course, but also does not receive credit. The approved waiver removes that specific course from the program of study requirements, but students will likely need an additional course to have enough hours to graduate.

Required documents

  1. A letter from the student indicating the reason for the waiver.
  2. Include the course number, course name, and course description for the course that is being requested to be waived.
  3. Verification from the student's advisor that he or she is in agreement with this course of action.
