2016 Graduate Studies

SEP 5998 Research Project

The non-thesis option provides the Master’s candidate the opportunity to pursue a career related, applied experience whereby one of the following is undertaken: 1) a program is implemented, revised and/or evaluated, 2) an event is organized and facilitated, or 3) an applied experience which the graduate project coordinator agrees to supervise. The candidate should propose the project to his/her advisor & project coordinator and actively seek an organization or develop the plan on his/her own in which to implement the project. Per the advisor’s and/or coordinator’s request, a literature review and conceptual rationale for the project should accompany the proposal, and at the completion of the project a final portfolio and/or presentation should be submitted and/or conducted. The project is a good option for the candidate wishing to become a practitioner in the field.
