ANTH 325 Indians of the Southeast

This course is a comparative study of the traditional cultures and geographic regions of the five civilized tribes of the southeastern United States, including the Cherokee, Choctaw, Creek, Chickasaw, and Seminole. Attention will be given to how geography influenced tribal culture, myth, and subsistence.
