MAE 5140 School Finance & Facilities

A study of school budgeting techniques, financial management, grants, and practices related to school finance. The course also covers school operations, facility development, transportation, and other educational services related to school operation. The issue of facility management includes the support of instruction, safety, climate and maintenance. This course prepares education leaders to understand the national and state law, policy and practice that shape school finance and the key considerations of facility maintenance. An emphasis is on support of instruction, improvement of school climate and learning performance, and school reform.
