PHI 315 Medieval Philosophy

A study of that period in philosophy which links the ancient and modern worlds and contributes in a singular way to the development of Western thought and culture. Issues to be explored include: the effort to reconcile faith and reason, and the conflict between the sacramental view of the world and the rapid development of scientific thought.
