PED 185 Dance Pilates

This fitness course focuses on strength, stretch, and core conditioning for a full body workout. Class starts with a warm up emphasizing body mechanics, and continues with a light weight circuit for upper body strength. Ballet barres are used to perform exercises targeting the core, and lower body with a dance and pilates sensibility. Class concludes with stretching exercises to increase flexibility. Throughout this course students will gain knowledge to enhance their ongoing wellness/fitness goals. Emphasis will be placed on fitness evaluations, research, and personal growth. (L12)
