MUS 151 String Quartet

Students will study the appropriate string quartet literature with an emphasis on the development of chamber music knowledge and skills. This includes the survey of Classical, Romantic and Contemporary string quartet literature, rehearsal techniques, string technique, small ensemble performance skills and sight-reading. Students will have the opportunity to participate in regular quartet coachings and performances. Audition or permission of the instructor is required. (L05) 0 or 1 credit hours.
