Women’s and Gender Studies Certificate

Program Overview:

The certificate in Women's and Gender Studies offers the opportunity to develop an expertise in this interdisciplinary subject. The WGS certificate requires 18-21 credits and can easily be completed along with any other undergraduate major program while satisfying the general education requirement, which most WGS courses fulfill. The certificate can also comprise an additional level of experience for a post-graduate professional. We see the certificate as a way to demonstrate the competence needed for the diversity-conscious workplace of today, so it will be particularly useful for those working in non-profit organizations as well as business and government environments.

Our certificate will give you a firm grounding in the complementary fields of women's and gender studies and the chance to explore them from the perspective of several different disciplinary approaches.
