Policy

Grading

The academic week for online courses shall be considered to begin on Sunday at 12:00:00 AM (Midnight) Central Standard Time and end the next Saturday at 11:59:59 PM CST. However, if the semester course begins on a different day, that day will be considered the first day. For example, if class begins on a Wednesday, then Wednesday will be day 1 and the following Tuesday will be day 7. Discussion Threads and Assignment due dates will be displayed as:

Week and Day. For example, if an assignment is due in week two on the 7th day, it will appear as W2d7.

Assignment Late Policy (This policy does not apply to threaded discussions): Turning in work late can impair your chances of success in the course. However, the Rudy School of Nursing understands that life and emergencies do happen, so considerations are made.

Students are expected to submit assignments when they are due. Assignments submitted after the due date will incur a penalty.

Late Assignment Penalty= 5% deduction each day up to 7 days. After 7 days late, a zero will be recorded for the assignment.

In the event of an emergent situation that prevents timely submission of an assignment, students may contact their instructor to request a waiver of the late submission penalty. The instructor will review the student's rationale for the request and consult with the Program Director to determine if a waiver will be granted based on the merits of the student's request. Students should continue to attend class, actively participate, and complete other assignments while the request is pending.

The Graduate Grade Scale can be found in the University Catalog.
