1. Limitations of Liability

Cumberland makes no guarantee that the functions or the services provided by or through the University’s network and computer systems will be error-free or without defect. Cumberland will not be responsible for any damage a user may suffer, including but not limited to, loss or data or interruptions of service. The University is not responsible for the accuracy or quality of the information obtained through or stored on the University’s network and computer systems. Cumberland will not be responsible for financial obligations a user may incur which arise through the unauthorized use of the University’s network and computer systems. Due to the open nature of the Internet, no liability will be assumed by Cumberland for the use or misuse of this system. It is the responsibility of each user to make good decisions about what information is retrieved and what is done with that information.
