SOC 393 Millennium Issues: Sick People, Sick Society: Gambling, Rape, Child Abuse & Other Social Ills

This course addresses a current issue of concern to Americans. It provides an in-depth analysis of the problems of gambling, rape, child abuse, and other social ills in America, and how we confront and solve the problem will have considerable impact on society for the next one hundred years. This course includes an analysis of the extent of the problems of gambling, rape, child abuse, and other social ills, the various sides to the argument, some possible solutions, and the consequences of the various solutions for both the individual and society.
