HIS 400 Colonial History

This course examines Colonial America within an Atlantic World context from contact through 1800. It studies French, Spanish, British, Dutch, and other colonies in North America and their interactions with each other and with native peoples. Important themes include the relationships of colonies to their imperial governments, gender relations, and the lived experiences of colonists, slaves, and others.
