William Goodbar and Blanche P. Catron Scholarship

This endowed scholarship is awarded to a full-time student from Wilson County, TN. The recipient must have an ACT composite score of 20 (or equivalent SAT critical reading and mathematics combined score) and a 3.00 GPA on a 4.00 scale, pursuing a degree in Education. Mr. Catron graduated from in 1926 and Mrs. Catron in 1936. Mr. Catron was a local businessman, pilot, and a member of the Tennessee Air National Guard. Mrs. Catron was awarded the Doctor of Humanities (honoris causa) from in 1998 and The Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award in 2001.
