ASTR 100 Introduction to Astronomy

This course is an introductory course in astronomy covering the theories and methods of traditional astronomy and modern astrophysics. This course will include timekeeping, the planets, the solar system, stellar systems, stellar evolution, galaxies, nebula, and cosmology along with the underlying science of these areas. Three hours of lecture and one two-hour laboratory per week. Students must take MATH 110 or MATH 111 as a co-requisite for this course if they have not already successfully completed it. Fee: $35.00
